Refund & Returns Policy Overview

At Piekanienies, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. However, due to the custom-made nature of our products, our refund and returns policy is designed to ensure fairness for both our customers and our small business. Please take a moment to review the details below.


Eligibility for Returns

  • Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days from the date of purchase. If 30 days have passed, we unfortunately cannot offer a full refund or exchange.

  • To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in its original condition, and in the original packaging.


Non-Returnable Items

Certain items are exempt from being returned due to their nature or for health and safety reasons. These include:

  • Custom-made or personalized items (e.g., tailor-made children’s clothing).

  • Perishable goods (e.g., food, flowers, newspapers, or magazines).

  • Intimate or sanitary goods.

  • Hazardous materials or flammable liquids/gases.

  • Gift cards or downloadable software products.

  • Health and personal care items (unless defective).


Proof of Purchase

To process a return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.


Partial Refunds

In some cases, only partial refunds may be granted. These include:

  • Items with obvious signs of use or damage not caused by us.

  • Items returned more than 30 days after delivery.

  • Items not in their original condition, missing parts, or damaged due to customer handling.


Refund Process

  1. Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you via email to confirm receipt.

  2. We will also inform you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

  3. If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your original payment method within a few business days.


Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund:

  1. Check your bank account again.

  2. Contact your credit card company, as processing times may vary.

  3. Reach out to your bank, as refunds may take time to post.

Sale Items

Only regularly priced items may be refunded. Sale items are non-refundable.


Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item, email us at info@piekanienies.co.za or piekanienies@gmail.com and send the item to:

Gift Returns

  • If the item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of the return. Once the item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

  • If the item wasn’t marked as a gift or was shipped to the gift giver, the refund will be issued to the gift giver, who will be notified of the return.


Shipping Returns

  • You are responsible for the shipping costs of returning your item. These costs are non-refundable.

  • If a refund is issued, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

  • For expensive items, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
